Pregnancy Week 9 Recap

*This post is a recap. It was written a week after my 9 week mark. Please keep that in mind when reading.

Blown out hair on 4/13/14

Flat ironed hair on 4/15/14

Today's Date: 4/21/14 (written at 10 weeks and 5 days pregnant)

How far along- 9 week recap (written at 10 weeks and 5 days pregnant)

Babies are the size of: Grapes

Favorite moment this week- I got a Snoogle pregnancy pillow over the weekend. It was a little rough sleeping on it the first night. But after that...it was awesome! It's a bit big and makes cuddling tough. However, it helps me sleep like a baby.

Miss Anything: Energy

Movement: I have felt something, but it could just be gas!

Food cravings-
Burgers, fries, gyros, Popsicles, and Philly cheese
sandwiches

Anything making you queasy or sick- Life lol

Have you started to show yet- Yes! People have actually started to notice!

Weight Gain: 2 pounds up from pre-preg weight

Exercise: Some walking here and there.

Stretch Marks: Just the ones I had pre-pregnancy lol!

Belly Button in or out- In

Gender- Don't know! My prediction is baby A is a boy, and  baby B is a girl.

Sleep: Tired, but sleeping a little better thanks to my preggo pillow. I also started peeing less during the night.

Looking forward to: Feeling better with not so much nausea. Also, a real  baby bump!

Other Notes: My husband noticed that I now have a linea nigra below my belly button! And sure enough...it is there! My skin looks like crap too! People say I am glowing, but that is a lie lol! I have the worst skin of my life. I started noticing melasma on my cheeks a few weeks ago too. It was my last week of work at the gym (got a new job), and I decided to flat iron my hair!

Pregnancy Week 8 Update

Pic taken 4/6/14

Pic taken 4/6/14
We went public with our pregnancy this week. See the announcement video here:

Today's Date: 4/6/14

How far along- 8 weeks and 4 days pregnant

Babies are the size of:  Kidney beans

Favorite moment this week- We went in for our 2nd ultrasound and the babies were still doing great! They have gotten soooo big, and are actually looking like little babies now. They have nubs (arms and legs), and we can even see where their brains are!  They both had really strong heart beats. Baby A's was 158, and Baby B's was 170. Baby A was 1.6 cm and Baby B was 1.5 cm in size. They doctor also said my placentas, yolk sacs, and everything else looked great too! It was harder to get a good pic of Baby B since he/she is the furthest away. And Baby B was not interested in the camera lol. But we got the best pic we could.Oh, and we even saw their little spines too. They are soooo cute!

Miss Anything: Sleep...and being able to eat veggies. I still gag at the site of them. But later in the week, my aversion got somewhat better. I think I am getting tired of eating so much fast food and carbs. Perhaps I will be able to like quality food again soon. Let's hope!

Movement: No

Food cravings-
Towards the end of the week I was craving soul food. I had to have some turkey and dressing. I also had yams, mac n' cheese, green beans, and corn bread with that meal. Yumm!

Anything making you queasy or sick- Life lol

Have you started to show yet- Well...I'm very bloated in the belly. I definitely think it is a few inches bigger. Still no weight gain though.

Weight Gain: 0

Exercise: Some walking here and there.

Stretch Marks: Just the ones I had pre-pregnancy lol!

Belly Button in or out- In

Gender- Don't know!

Sleep: I think the babies are going through another big growth spurt because I am extremely exhausted again to the point that I need power naps to survive lol. I am sleeping a little better at night. But me thinky I will need to invest in a preggo pillow soon!

Looking forward to: Feeling better with not so much nausea. Also, a real  baby bump!

Other Notes: My sense of smell is still really strong so a lot of things irritate me (even my own perfume). Over the past few weeks I have found myself addicted to my cute little hubby. Which is funny because many women can't stand their husbands when preggo. I had a little spotting or brown discharge a few nights ago, and that freaked me out. I'm thinking it is the result of both intercourse and a trans-vaginal ultrasound that occurred a couple days prior. I will ask my doctor about this Monday.

7 Weeks Pregnant!

Our first purchase (made 3/30/14)

Today's Date: 3/30/14

How far along-  7 weeks and 4 days

Baby size of: Blueberry

Favorite moment this week- We bought the first items for our babies. We got them matching bibs at Babies R Us. Also, hubby's mom bought one car seat, and we bought the other!

Miss Anything: I miss my old taste buds. Many of my all time favs (black walnut ice cream, can't look at sushi, and etc) don't taste or look the same. I am having a hard time drinking water too!

Movement: No

Food cravings-
I'm still loving Mexican, but hamburgers took over this week!

Anything making you queasy or sick- YES! I have been nauseous but still not vomiting. I am very sensitive to smells, and have found myself repulsed by veggies :(. I feel like I can eat ONLY when the meal starts off with bread or some type of carb. I feel so guilty for the amount of carbs I have been eating. Everything else grosses me out though!

Have you started to show yet- I think so! I have not gained any weight, but I feel so bloated. I haven't been measuring, but I am sure my belly is growing. Some of my pants are tighter at the waist!

Weight Gain: 0

Exercise: Slacking off...     :(

Stretch Marks: Just the ones I had pre-pregnancy lol!

Belly Button in or out- In

Gender- Don't know! I'm thinking a boy and a girl...or either two boys lol.

Sleep: What's that? I am exhausted all of the time, but cannot nap or sleep well.

Looking forward to: Feeling better with not so much nausea. Also, I can't wait to reach the 12 week mark!

Other Notes: I am irritable, and most people bother me lol. I have lost all interest in watching any of my favorite youtubers. Also, we found out earlier in the week (on 3/24/14) at 6w5d that we're pregnant with twins!

Pregnancy Week 6

We found out on 3/2/13 that we were pregnant! I did not initially document the first few weeks of my pregnancy journey, so I figured I would go back and just type it up now lol. As of today (4/6/14) I am 8w4d preggo...but everything below describes week 6 of my journey. Enjoy!

Today's Date: 4/6/14 (Written when I was 8 weeks and 4 days pregnant!)

How far along- This is a recap for week 6

Baby size of: Week 6: Lentil

Favorite moment this week- My favorite moment was going in for our first ultrasound on 3/24/14. We were hit with the surprise of a lifetime...we're having TWINS! Both babies were doing great too! They had healthy heart rates (122 and 120), and they were sizing up very well. They both had healthy yolk  sacs too!

Another one of my favorite moments was creating a diy chalkboard to take my pregnancy photos in front of. It's kind of funny because we were not expecting to find twins on the ultrasound, so the chalkboard had to be edited once we came home from the doctor lol. Here's what the original one looked like...

And here's what it looked like after we found out we were expecting twins!

Miss Anything: Energy...and not feeling sea sick at all times!

Movement: No

Food cravings-
Mexican

Anything making you queasy or sick- I believe this is around the time my aversion to veggies started. I also find myself repulsed by sushi.

Have you started to show yet- No

Weight Gain: 0

Exercise: Some walking here and there.

Stretch Marks: Just the ones I had pre-pregnancy lol!

Belly Button in or out- In

Gender- Don't know!

Sleep: I slept anytime I could lol. When I was not at work...I was in bed!

Looking forward to: Feeling better with not so much nausea. Also, a real  baby bump!

Other Notes: I ended up getting a terrible cold around week 5 from hubby! It was the worst. I couldn't breath, and had to take off work because I was exhausted and heavily congested. After about a week and a half of battling pure misery, I started to feel better lol. I couldn't even take any meds, so it was truly depressing. I couldn't sleep or do anything bc I couldn't breath.

Pregnancy Weeks 3-5 Recap

We found out on 3/2/13 that we were pregnant! I did not initially document the first few weeks of my pregnancy journey, so I figured I would go back and just type it up now lol. As of today (4/5/14) I am 8w3d preggo...but everything below describes weeks 3 through 5 of my journey. Enjoy!

Today's Date: 4/5/14 (Written when I was 8 weeks and 3 days pregnant!)

How far along- This is a recap for weeks 3-5

Baby size of: Week 4: Poppy seed,  Week 5: Sesame seed

Favorite moment this week- I would say finding out on 3/2/14 that we were pregnant! We were just a few days shy of the 4 week mark when we found out.

Miss Anything: I was super exhausted the first few weeks. All I could do was lay in bed all day whenever I was at home. I slept like a napping baby anytime I was able to lay or sit down lol. I would say I missed being energized!

Movement: No

Food cravings-
In the first few weeks, I found myself wanting bananas. Which is realllly weird because I have always hated them! I was craving them every morning for breakfast lol. The cravings ended a few weeks later, and I eventually went on to crave Mexican food!

Anything making you queasy or sick- I can't remember anything specifically. I do think I started to get nauseous off and on around the 4 or 5 week mark though.

Have you started to show yet- No

Weight Gain: 0

Exercise: Some walking here and there.

Stretch Marks: Just the ones I had pre-pregnancy lol!

Coffee Table...Check!

I'm back, and happy to share my newest love with you guys! While checking Facebook today, I noticed my local Habitat For Humanity ReStore posted their weekly specials photo album. Praise sweet baby Jesus! While I was browsing through the pics, I noticed a cute little retro table that I just knew I had to have. Isn't she lovelyyyy!?

It's small, unique, and fits right in with my mid-century modern decor in our formal living/dining room. And guess what??? This bad boy was only $25. Yep, just $25. I drove out to the store in the horrible rainy weather just to snatch her up. I think I might paint her white or aqua in the future...stay tuned! Now...we need to get a rug, and paint the tables in the room. Oh, and the side tables in the pics are not the ones we are going to use. We bought some other ones that need to be painted, so these are just place holders until I can get to our actual tables. I'll leave you with more pics of my new find!

Does Poopourri REALLY work???

A few weeks ago I bought some Poopourri after reading tons of reviews online and watching them on Youtube. I knew it was worth giving it a try, so I took the plunge and purchased some on QVC.com. I must say...I love it! It will forever have a special place in our bathrooms! Check out the video below for my complete review.
